Soil / Climate: Prefers full sun, and will not tolerate full shade. Prefers well drained, moist soils. Zones 3-8
Notes: Leaves turn orange to scarlet in autumn. Flower is white, with orange-red fruit persistent to winter.
Wildlife: Fruit is a favorite food of the ruffed grouse, cedar waxwing, and fox sparrow. Wood duck, turkey, bobwhite, and pheasant also eat the fruit.
