Wholesale Hazelnut Trees for Sale

The Hazelnut trees for sale through Cold Stream Farm make an excellent addition to any piece of property. They can attract lots of different types of wildlife to your land and provide animals with the food they need to survive throughout the year. We carry two different types of wholesale hazelnut trees for sales, including American Hazelnut (Corylus americana) and Beaked Hazelnut (Corylus Cornuta) trees.

About the American Hazelnut Tree

American Hazelnut (Corylus americana) trees grow to be anywhere from 8 to 12 feet high and often have a crown spread of between 10 and 15 feet. They can adapt to a wide range of soil types, but they tend to do best when planted in well-drained loams. They can grow in partial shade, but they prefer full sun and produce more edible nuts when they’re positioned in a sunny area. Squirrels, deer, pheasants, turkeys, and other wildlife will flock to our hazelnut trees to eat the nuts that come from them.

About the Beaked Hazelnut Tree

Beaked Hazelnut (Corylus Cornuta) trees, on the other hand, typically grow to be somewhere between 5 and 15 feet tall. They’re more cold tolerant than our American hazelnut trees and can grow in both full sun and partial shade. They do best when they’re planted in well drained soils rich with nutrients. They produce nuts that look and taste slightly different than the nuts produced by American Hazelnut (Corylus americana) trees. Their nuts have a harder shell on the outside and are usually much smaller. They still bring in many of the same types of wildlife, including deer, small mammals, and more.

Cold Stream Farm has wholesale hazelnut trees for sale in many sizes. Whether you want American Hazelnut (Corylus americana) trees or Beaked Hazelnut (Corylus Cornuta) trees, we can provide you with them. Contact us at 231-464-5809 today for all orders.
