Description

Latin: Pennisetum alopecuroides

Soil / Climate: Prefers moist soils, partial shade to full sun. It will tolerate Black Walnut and is deer proof.

This can be done in early spring but it can be sown all year if the temperature is right. It is considered an ornamental grass. It is a species of perennial grass native to Asia and Australia. It’s used in dried flower arrangements, as groundcover, and to help with erosion control.
